Rossinavi Launches 50m Superyacht EIV

By George Bains

During a private ceremony held at its Viareggio shipyard, Rossinavi launched 50m Project Vector. The superyacht, now known as EIV, was a bespoke build for an American client, a significant development for the global appeal of the Rossinavi brand.

The tri-deck luxury performance superyacht was custom designed and built in accordance with the client’s tastes and interests. Rossinavi worked with Italian designer Enrico Gobbi on the interior and exterior of the yacht to create a lasting ‘Made in Italy’ feel to the superyacht. Key components and mechanical features have been made in the USA to US-standards since she will be based in US and Caribbean waters.  This Italo-American collaboration follows after the delivery of 63m Utopia IV to an American client 2018.

This boat is a step change for Rossinavi,” said Federico Rossi, Chief Operating Officer of Rossinavi. “With the increasing and significant interest the shipyard is receiving from the American market, we are constantly working to find ways to collaborate with American suppliers in the production of entirely tailor-made vessels […] Following on from the success of the first member of the Vector family that was also delivered to an American owner, EIV boasts the same sportive appeal and features of her ‘older sister’ such as the shallow draft which is perfect for the Bahamas.”

EIV boasts high-performance levels of sport superyacht while technical advancements including a shallow draft of just over two metres give her perfect stability for cruising in the Caribbean and the interior areas of South Florida.

The Enrico Gobbi exterior profile has a classic and timeless appeal, with neat lines and balanced proportions which have drawn inspiration from the automotive industry, particularly the air vent grills of a sport coupé. The sleek structure opens up to a surprisingly voluminous interior, with up to eight guests being accommodated in four luxurious double cabins. A full beam master suite at the front of the main deck provides the owner with the ideal amount of seclusion, including a private terrace on the starboard side. Floor to ceiling windows throughout the main deck afford EIV a contemporary feel while giving guests with panoramic views of their surroundings.

The brightness provided by the large windows is complemented by the materials chosen by Enrico Gobbi for the interior design. Bright and natural woods and fabrics work well with the fine details of bronzed brass metail. The custom décor features contemporary European furniture and Italian-made fabrics to create a sophisticated aura. As a superyacht that delivers the high levels of performance, exquisite style and an opulent interior, EIV is certain to fulfil her new owner’s dreams. For Rossinavi, this is another successful step into an American market that is embracing the quality of Italian-made products.
