Superyacht Technology Network Welcomes New Investor

Working to become the number one destination for information and events for technology buyers and sellers in the superyacht sector, SYT Network now looks to expand its mission further with the support of industry expert Will Faimatea. 

With almost 30 years of experience in the superyacht technology innovation sector, Faimatea will now act as an advisor/consultant to the tech company, providing invaluable support to SYT Network's goal of expanding operations. Particular attention will be paid to developing the company’s Superyacht Technology Show, which, for its 2024 edition, is set to quadruple in size and include a 500-delegate capacity conference of ‘TECHtalks’, all in response to a positive high demand from the industry.

The investment from Faimatea is due to fund the expansion of SYT Network’s operational team: a team who will aid the response to anticipated sales from new engineering, engine and green technology business exhibitors.

Jack Robinson, Director of SYT Network, commented on the investment from Will Faimatea: ‘I’m proud that an industry giant such as Will Faimatea recognises the potential of the next phase of SYT Network and he is the perfect collaborator. This investment will allow us to more quickly achieve our goal to bring innovators and buyers together in the superyacht marketplace.’

Founded in 2022 by the Director, who has over 18 years of superyacht industry experience himself, SYT Network was built on Robinson's vision of providing a platform for superyacht businesses in IT and AV to grow through widespread networking and dedicated events. Currently, SYT Network’s membership stands at 18,000 companies and individuals. 

New SYT Network investor, Will Faimatea, commented on his new venture: ‘I am excited to be personally involved with The Superyacht Technology Network which Jack has founded. The platform represents and allows all those companies and owners, representatives and crew with technology focus a place to visit and experience the technologies and the people behind them. Having started my career in yachting as an ETO back in 1996 I have been very fortunate to watch and be part of this industry and I hope I can contribute further and on a broader scale with SYT.’

Robinson added: ‘Will’s vision for the future of superyacht technology mirrors my own and we both acknowledge the industry’s desire for a dedicated, stand-alone, technology show. We are committed to delivering such a focused show with the expanded Superyacht Technology Show planned for Barcelona in March 2024.’

The highly anticipated Superyacht Technology Show will return to Barcelona on the 20th and 21st of March 2024.
